How do you distinguish a good singer from a great singer?

Im 16 and im a really good singer I’ve never took lessons. Ive been singing since I was 3. I sing in front of my church all the time and people tell me I have a gift. I want to become a really, really great singer one of the best. What are some characteristics of great singers and good singers. A lot of people can sing good, but I want to be great!

    Opinion mostly.

    But other than that, it has a lot to do with having a good range and being able to have good pitch and hit the notes.

    I think besides the voice, you have to have the versatile personality that most ’stars’ possess. Like Beyonce, she’s good singer in my eyes but not better than Christina Aguilera. BUT, the way she carries herself is what makes her a star. JMHO!

    depends but I say that a good singer has a good voice and is confident while a great singer has an amazing voice, can sing live, doesn’t need loads of music or editing and generaly sounds good

    If you are great; word will spread, and people will come from all over to hear you. You would know it. If you are good and want to become great, I would suggest the lessons.

    First, you should probably take lessons. It won’t make your voice better, but it’ll help you control it and take it to new levels. Second, warm up before you perform and don’t eat foods that clog your throat before a performance like peanut butter, ice cream, or lemonade. Be confident. Some people are terrible singers, but think they’re good. If someone tells you(besides your mom lol) that you’re good, you probably are!

    It depends on how you want to put that.
    If you want to be a great performer..
    Have good influences, and work hard on your singing.
    There are soo many people in the Industry with different voices,
    No ones’ is the same.

    But Singing alone.
    You must have good Diction, Breath Control, and Range, With Pitch along.

    Believe me, I am told I have a gift.. but I really have to look down at how far I came to get it. It takes time. I’m a multi Musician. I compose all of my songs, beats, everything. It’s not easy for some people man.

    But if you keep practicing, you’ll get it.
