How is Keith Urban a country music singer if he’s from Australia?

Posted on September 3rd, 2009

I’ve never listened to his songs, but don’t country music singers usually have southern accents? It just seems strange to me.

I know what you mean, but tonight I went to see a band play country music and they were excellent and they had UK Yorkshire accents, so if the cap fits play it :)

Im from Australia and we do have country music singers here so the southern accent thing doesn’t mean anything

Just because hes from Australia, doesnt mean he cant sing country…..alot of people have weird accents, but you dont hear it in their music…..hes good, you should listen to some of his songs.*

The same way Mike Rowe (not the ford commercial/Dirty jobs guy) is a death metal singer from Australia. If you like something you should just do it.
