Abuses of power?

What is the word for when you use your power to gain and advantage?
- Everyone abuses the stockmarket, but they just wanted to get Martha Stewart becuase they didn’t like her.
- Enron could change supply of power to gain more money, so they did.
- You don’t want the whole company drug tested, becuse you only want to get rid of one person.
- It’s okay for a priest to have molested a child becuse the priest is now 70 years old.
- It’s okay to kill a Catholic in a Muslium country if they convert becuase they don’t like them anyway.
- Police let everyone speed 70 mph in an area, and just pull over soccer moms every day at 5:15pm based on their ability to pay.
It is all the same logic path. You have the authority to do the right thing, but perceive in doing the right thing you will lose something. Being fair does not net you a gain, so just do what you like, unchecked.

The fact of the matter is the world is in sad shape. There is very little hope left. The people, who try to do the right things, get knocked down and trampled on. The people and companies, who do the wrong things, thrive. I wish I could be of some encouragement, but I have just about lost faith in all things good. I will, however, keep trying to do the right thing and maybe some good will get back to you.

I believe greed, power, and self centerness has taken center stage in this USA. By trying to be fair we over do one side of the coin and take away from the other. Life was not meant to be fair or even equal. The only equal thing should be that each and every one of us have the same opportunities and what we do with them is up to us to make the best of it. If you feel you must step on someone or mistreat them to gain your place in life, then you have to live with yourself . Hopefully that is not how the major of people will live out their days on this earth.
