How much money is to rebuild a tranmission on a 2000 Dodge Durango? When they rebuild they clean the tranmission ? Because right now I got a broke seal on the tranmission so I just waiting for the tranny to run out of oil to get it rebuilt! Is amazing with 92k miles already have a broken rear engine oil seal and the tranmission seals is leaking! Next time I buy a jappanesse cars!

they usually just trade your tranny to a rebuild shop for one that has been rebuilt and they put it in, your looking at $2,500 anyway for the tranny and installation.

If you wait till the transmission runs out of oil, you will be spending a crapload of money if not replacing the entire trans. Get the seal fixed. spend a little money now and not 2-3 thousand down the road.
