I want to go into finance / investment / banking. Where should I start?

I am a high school student, going into college. I’m want to eventually go into finance / banking. Right now, I’m thinking about starting with applied mathematics and economics. But do you have any suggestions? Perhaps I should take a business course (though what I’m going into isn’t really business) or a computer science course.

I guess my question is, is applied math and economics a good place to start? And is economics tedious and hard to learn?

While applied mathmatics and econ are good majors, most schools offer a degree of finance itself. Obviously that’s what you want

Applied math with a business option is the way to go IMHO. Economics is OK, but I think applied finance would be better.

Although demanding, an Actuarial degree would also be ideal.

    Thanks
