What is the difference between offering 1 billion bonds vs printing $1 billion of new money?
Issuing bonds gets country deeper into debt. Same amount of money gets into system, given the Fed buys all the bonds. Why doesn’t government just issue money?
If Fed buys those bonds, they input billion new money into economy, same as printing isn’t it?
